Itinerary

Day 01Arrival & check In

For your Egypt tour Cairo, Alexandria, Nile Cruise and Beach Holiday you’ll fly to Cairo. Upon arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met by our tour guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2Giza Pyramids - Sakkara Step Pyramid

After breakfast at the hotel you will be picked up by your tour guide and visit:

Giza Pyramid Complex:
The complex includes three main pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, six little pyramids, the great sphinx and the Valley Temple. The complex dates back to the 4th dynasty 2400 years B.C.

The Great Pyramid:
The Great Pyramids belongs to “King Khufu” It is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids of Giza plateau and the only one to remain intact from the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. The height of the great pyramid is 147m, the number of stones used in construction is 2,300,000 and it took twenty years to be built.

The Great Sphinx:
It was built by “King Chephren“, it is the largest statue in the world, standing 73 m. long, 19 m. wide, and 20 m height. It is the oldest known monumental sculpture.

The Valley Temple:
A Granite mortuary temple used by Ancient Egyptians for the mummification process and this is the only remaining one at Giza plateau.

After visiting the pyramids and the sphinx, fortify yourself with an oriental lunch, and then head to:

Sakkara Step Pyramid:
It is considered to be the earliest large-scale cut stone construction; it dates back to the reign of King Djeser who ruled Egypt during the 27th century B.C. The step pyramid consists of 6 steps built atop one another with a height 62m.

You can also visit the beautiful tombs of the Old Kingdom with their special paintings.

Day 3Alexandria Day Trip

Today you enjoy a trip to Alexandria. In the morning you drive from Cairo to Alexandria and visit:

The Catacombs
The catacombs of Kom El-Shukafa were built in the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. built. At the beginning of the 20th century, they were discovered by accident. They are graves from the Roman period.

Qaitbay Citadel
The Qaitbay Citadel was built from 1477 to 1479 by Sultan Ashraf Qaitbay on the ruins of the famous lighthouse (Pharaoh). The citadel served on the Mediterranean coast as a defense fortress in Alexandria.

The Library of Alexandria
The Library of Alexandria was opened in 2002 near the site of the Ancient Library of Alexandria. It is equipped with 2000 reading places and shelf space for 8 million books.

After your excursion in Alexandria, fortify yourself with a lunch – dress up and drive back to Cairo

Day 4Cairo Sightseeing

Today you visit with your tour guide:

The Egyptian Museum:
The museum displays a collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920 when his tomb was excavated.

Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore:

Salah El Din Citadel:
It served as Egypt’s seat of government till the 1860 Cairo Citadel is a magnificent fortress. It was constructed during Salah ad-Din reign. The construction work has started in 1176 and was completed in 1182.

Mohamed Ali Mosque:
It was constructed between 1830 and 1848, the mosque named “The Alabaster Mosque” because of most of the walls made out of pure alabaster. The mosque is a replica of the Blue Mosque in Istanbul.

Then you will get a lunch, then you will be brought back to the hotel.

Day 5Fly to Aswan - Aswan Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to Cairo Airport, then fly to Aswan. Upon arrival in Aswan, you will be met by your guide and escorted to your 5 star boat.

After lunch on the boat you will visit in Aswan:

Philae Temple:
The temple dedicated to goddess Isis of Love and beauty. The temple complex was dismantled and relocated to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam.

The High Dam
the construction of the high dam was initiated by President Nasser and lasted from 1960 to 1971, creating one of the largest reservoirs in the world, 500 km long and 32 km wide, at the widest point. The dam is more than 3800 meters long and 111 meters high, at the sole 980 meters and at the crown about 40 meters wide.

Day 6Abu Simble Temple - Sail to Kom Ombo & Edfu

Today you have free or you have the opportunity for a private excursion to:

Abu Simbel Temples:
The two Temples of Abu Simbel are the great sun temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari, which was built by Ramses II to his favorite wife Queen Nefertari among other 200 wives and concubines, built during the reign of King Ramses II 1200 B.C.

With their unique style, are considered to be the masterpieces of ancient Egypt.
The Temples are rock-cut structures, and both temples were discovered in 1813 it was almost completely covered with sand, Then both temples were moved in 1960 by the help of Egyptian government and UNESCO to avoid the rising water of the Nile.
Ramses II built the temple mostly to honor himself as inside there is a mural depicting his famous victory at Kadesh battle where his army defeated his enemies.

The carvings and artwork that decorate both temples are incredible. Hand carved pillars, wall paintings, carvings, statues, and much more, this is a must visit the place.

At noon, the ship leaves from Aswan to Kom Ombo. Enjoy the beautiful drive to Kom Ombo and in the afternoon visit:

The Kom Ombo Temple
It is the only double temple in Egypt dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. The ruins of the temple were for a long time spilled over half by sand. They were first uncovered and restored in 1893. The temple was built during the Greek period from 304 to 31 BC. And hundreds of mummified crocodiles were found around the temple.

After that, the ship leaves for Edfu.

Day 7Edfu Temple - Sail to Luxor - Luxor Temple

The Edfu Temple
He was built by the Ptolemy’s for the falcon god Horus Behdeti from 237 to 57 BC. Built. Luxor Temple:

Day 8Luxor Sight Seeing - Transfer to Red Sea

Valley of the Kings:
The final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty, it is home to tombs including the great pharaoh Ramses II and boy pharaoh Tutankhamen. The tombs were carved deep into the desert rock, richly decorated and filled with treasures for the afterlife of the pharaohs. Most of the decoration inside the tombs still well preserved.

Hatshepsut Temple:
It is one of the most beautiful & best preserved of all of the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together.

Colossi of Memnon:
Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone which exist in Cairo then moved 700 KM to Luxor.

Karnak Temple:
No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak Temple. Was built more than two thousand years ago, It is the largest temple complex ever built by man and represents the combined achievement of many generations of ancient builders and Pharaohs. The Temple of Karnak is actually three main temples, smaller enclosed temples, and several outer temples situated on 247 acres of land.

After your program in Luxor you will be transferred to your hotel on the Red Sea.
